His journey began in the travel industry, where he gained first-hand insight into leadership, team dynamics, and how the right people directly shape business performance.

At heart, Jacob is an entrepreneur. He is motivated by building what does not yet exist — or improving what already does.

As HR Director in a publicly listed company, he saw a gap that many others overlooked: small and medium-sized businesses often lack the internal resources to manage HR strategically and professionally. Yet these companies depend even more on strong, well-functioning teams to grow and compete.

That realisation led him to take a bold step — to resign and create something new.

HR On Demand was born from the belief that strategic HR should not be a luxury reserved for large corporations. Through this venture, Jacob helps organisations build the foundations they need to scale: strong leadership, the right talent, and structures that support both people and performance.

His approach is pragmatic, entrepreneurial, and deeply people-centric. He focuses on turning HR from an administrative necessity into a strategic driver of growth.

Beyond business, the sea plays an important role in Jacob’s life. It reflects much of how he approaches leadership — with perspective, calm, and respect for the forces that shape the journey.
